We would like to welcome you all to the Ashabulhadith Study Circle. A study guide for people who want to learn the Deen (religion) of Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) it’s Aqa’id (beliefs) and Usool (principles) in the light of Qur’an, Sunnah and the understanding of the Salaf-us-Saalih (righteous predecessors) which, is the very objective of organising these study circles through WhatsApp and these webpages. The study materials are taught and moderated personally by Dr. Murtaza bin Baksh (hafidhahullah Ta’ala) focusing specifically on the needs of those people who speak and understand Urdu. The Ashabulhadith Study Circle is provided to you absolutely free of cost.
The purpose of this online organisation of study materials and the conducting of course activities such as a simple test of knowledge through study circle forms, is to provide feedback on progress in the knowledge that has been gained by you and to bring the student of knowledge closer to the recommended study materials taken from the duroos (classes) and the necessary books that highlight the foundation of our deen and understanding of matters related to it.
It is our duty to learn the fundamentals of our religion in order to act upon it. One cannot safeguard himself from the punishment of the Hereafter unless he gains beneficial knowledge of Allah’s religion and acts upon it with sincerity and enjoins this upon his family members and others as:
Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) commands us:
“O you who believe! Ward off from yourselves and your families a Fire (Hell) whose fuel is men and stones, ...” (Quran: at-Tahrim: 6)
We are recommended to acquire beneficial knowledge, not only for this world but also for the hereafter:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Whoever takes a path upon which to obtain knowledge, Allah makes the path to Paradise easy for him." (Sahih Muslim)
Scholars suggest the importance of learning basic principles little-by-little, by studying through standard books with understanding and memorisation. As learning is a continuous process, we believe the facility to learn the deen under the guidance of a scholar or student of knowledge will be very useful for every one of us and our family members.
